SELECTION CLASSES

For our more motivated and dedicated dancers, we have selection groups. These groups train harder and more serious, and you enter through audition. The Dance Company Turning Point Foundation was established in 2006 as an extension of the dance school, with the aim of giving talented students the opportunity to further develop their skills in dance.

We offer two selection tracks: the Hip-Hop selection groups — Minis, Juniors, and Seniors — and the Modern-Jazz-Ballet selection, divided into Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Company.

Dancers have the opportunity to participate in one or both selection tracks, depending on their talent, commitment, and passion.

These students take classes in either hip-hop, or classical ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and repertoire. In addition, we regularly invite guest teachers to give workshops, and we aim to organize a study trip abroad every two years.

Company and Hip-hop Seniors ready to fly - March 2025

Over the years, our dancers have had the opportunity to participate in the Florida Dance Festival five times, starting in 2007. In February of 2015, 2019, 2023, and 2025, our most advanced students traveled to New York City to take classes and workshops at world-renowned institutions such as Broadway Dance Center and Brickhouse NYC. These trips also included unforgettable experiences like attending Broadway productions such as Aladdin and The Lion King, and enjoying breathtaking performances by the New York City Ballet, including Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, among others.

Meanwhile, our Juniors (ages 12–14) traveled to New Jersey to participate in the 24SEVEN Dance Convention, where they spent the entire weekend dancing, learning, and growing. Their hard work paid off as they proudly brought home four prestigious scholarships.

Another important goal of the Company is to introduce more people — especially young people — to theatrical dance. This is done through performances and workshops. In recent years, we have held several performances for high school students as part of their Cultural and Artistic Education (C.A.V.) curriculum.

The Company also aims to provide financial support to passionate dancers who may not have the financial means to pursue their training.

The Company operates as a foundation, allowing it to function financially independently from the school.
