Turning Point

Outside of regular classes, we offer students other fun ways to connect with dance. Below are our main annual activities:

• Every two years, we organize a big student performance at the W.T.C. With Alice in Wonderland just finished, our next major show is expected to take place in June 2027.

• Every January or February, we host a movie night in the school’s two studios. We aim to choose a fun, dance-related film that’s suitable for both kids and adults.

• In November or March, we hold a Dance Marathon to raise money for the Dance Company Turning Point Foundation. The funds help cover tuition for students from families with limited financial means, so that they can continue dancing.

• Every other year, there’s a choreography competition for students aged 9 and up. They get to create their own dance, design costumes, and more. This show is held on the big stage of WTC, with the next edition set for April/May 2026.

• The Kinderdance 3 class ends with a real dance exam, usually held between March and May, depending on whether it’s a performance year.

• Every two to three months, a guest teacher is invited to give a special class for a specific age group — it could be hip-hop, modern, or improvisation. Info is shared directly with the students involved.

• Open class days take place in December and June, when parents and others are welcome to watch students’ progress. In show years, open classes are not held in June
